Ronald J. Schwartz

Ronald J. Schwartz established Schwartz & Greenwood P.C. in 1964 as a solo practitioner. Since then, the firm has provided the New York and Florida area with services focused on the elderly.

Ronald J. Schwartz, Esq. was born in The Bronx. After graduating Queens College in 1960, he quickly realized a passion for the law. Ronald graduated from Brooklyn Law School in 1963, and Brooklyn Law School’s LLM program in 1965.  After law school, Mr. Schwartz would go on to work on Mayor Lindsay’s legal team, where he worked as assistant corporation counsel. In addition, Ronald felt called to fulfill his civic duty by serving as a traffic court magistrate from over 16 years. As the practice grew, Mr. Schwartz felt compelled to advance the field by writing a comprehensive textbook based on his knowledge and experience. The book and its subsequent second edition led to several teaching opportunities at St. Johns and Brooklyn Law School, where Ronald served as an adjunct professor. In addition, Mr. Schwartz shared his passion for elder law with wider audiences by lecturing regularly for several cruise lines and institutions around the world.
